NASSAU, Bahamas, 3 Oct. 2023 – Executives of the Bahamas Ministry of Tourism, Investments & Aviation were excited to promote The Islands of The Bahamas as the premier yachting destination at the 32nd edition of the Monaco Yacht Show from 27 - 30 September. The destination’s vibrant booth at the luxury mega-yacht show showcased the facilities, services and unforgettable experiences that make The Bahamas the number one choice for yachting enthusiasts.

The Hon. John H.W. Pinder II, Parliamentary Secretary, Bahamas Ministry of Tourism, Investments & Aviation (BMOTIA) led a small delegation to Monaco and met with leaders from across the yachting industry, including Sandrine Camia, Deputy General Manager of the Monaco Government Tourist and Convention Authority, the Monaco Yacht Club, Fraser Yachts, along with key stakeholders, such as charter brokers, Superyacht captains, crews, luxury yacht owners and various potential investors.

"The Monaco Yacht Show is the world’s largest yacht show. It's essential for The Bahamas to be represented at this event, to showcase our islands as a yachting paradise,” said Pinder.

“The show affords us an unparalleled opportunity to interact with key players in the global yachting industry, from superyacht owners and captains to yacht brokers and yachting enthusiasts. We promote The Islands of The Bahamas as an ideal escape from the European winters, highlighting how to get there, what our many islands have to offer and what experiences yachters could have in The Bahamas. "

The Islands of The Bahamas proudly served as an official destination sponsor for the 21st Annual Captain's Soirée hosted by Fraser Yachts. This prestigious event honoured outstanding achievements in various yacht categories. Guests were given the opportunity to win a number of prizes from renowned establishments throughout the 16-island destination, including Atlantis Paradise Island, the Abaco Beach Resort and Conch Inn and Marina. The BMOTIA was also pleased to once again partner with Superyachts.com for an exclusive event onboard the M/Y BG Charade hosting top tier yachting aficionados.

As the largest gathering of superyachts in the world, with 562 exhibitors and over 130 superyachts,

Attendees were able to have face-to-face engagement with on island partners, including the Nassau Cruise Port, the Bay Street Marina, United Island & Yacht and United Shipping, to learn key information on the ease of travelling to The Bahamas.
